How many porta potties does a backyard party need?
A backyard party needs 1 porta potty for every 50 guests for up to 4 hours. Add 1 more when beer, wine or a full meal is served, and 1 wheelchair-accessible unit if a guest uses a wheelchair or walker. A 75-guest graduation party with food needs 3 standard units.

What should you check before delivery day?
Before delivery day, measure any gate the unit must pass through (48 inches minimum), mark the spot with a stake or cone, move cars off the path, and put gate codes and dog warnings in the order notes. The unit arrives the day before your party, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Nobody has to be home; the driver calls about 30 minutes ahead.
What should you keep on hand during the party?
During the party, keep 4 extra rolls of toilet paper, a small trash can outside the door, and a battery lantern or string lights for evening guests. Place a hand-wash station or a bottle of sanitizer nearby if food is served. Lock the unit after guests leave if it faces the street.
