Porta potty rental questions, answered
These are the questions Jefferson City renters ask before they book, in their own words. Each answer starts with the fact you need. If yours is missing, call (573) 257-9401 and a person answers.
Delivery and timing
Can I get a porta potty delivered today?
Same-day delivery runs Monday through Saturday when you call (573) 257-9401 by noon and a truck has room. A rush charge from $50 may apply and is quoted first.
How soon do I need to call to lock in a date?
Call at least 2 to 3 days ahead for weekday jobs and 1 to 2 weeks ahead for summer weekends. Holiday weekends like July 4th and Labor Day book out first.
What's the latest I can call for next-day delivery?
Call by 5 p.m. for next-day delivery. Later calls are scheduled for the next open route.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Deliveries run Saturday as well as weekdays. Trucks do not run Sunday, so Sunday events are delivered Saturday or earlier.
Can you drop it off Friday and pick it up Sunday?
Pickups do not run Sunday. The unit is picked up Monday at the same price, so you keep it an extra day for free.
Do you know what time the driver will be there?
Drivers deliver between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and call or text about 30 minutes before arrival. An exact time cannot be promised.
Can it be one of the first drop-offs if I need it before noon?
Ask for a morning delivery and it goes on the order notes. The safest way to have it in place by morning is next-day-before delivery.
Do I have to be there for delivery?
Nobody needs to be on site. Mark the spot, leave gates open or the code in the notes, and answer the driver's call.
Monday is a holiday. When will you pick it up?
Pickup moves to the next business day, usually Tuesday, at no extra charge.
Where do you come out of? Are you local?
Trucks leave from Jefferson City and run routes across mid-Missouri every day except Sunday. You talk to people who know the roads you're on.
Pricing and payment
How much does a porta potty rental cost?
A standard event unit starts at $175 for up to 5 days with delivery and pickup in Jefferson City. A 28-day rental starts at $165 plus $65 delivery and pickup once. See the price guide.
What's the total out-the-door price?
Your quote lists the unit, delivery and pickup, any distance or rush charge, and sales tax, with one total. That total is what you pay.
Is that price for one day or the whole weekend?
Event pricing is one flat rate for up to 5 days on site, so one day and a full weekend cost the same.
Is the price per toilet or for both?
Unit prices are per toilet. Units delivered together share one delivery and pickup charge.
Is delivery and pickup included?
Event rates include both. On 28-day rentals, delivery and pickup is a one-time charge on the first invoice.
Is the second month cheaper?
Later 28-day cycles drop the delivery and pickup charge, so the second cycle costs less than the first.
Do you have a weekly rate?
Rentals up to 5 days use the event rate. Six days or more use the 28-day rate, which includes weekly cleaning.
Do you give a discount for more than one unit?
Orders of 5 or more units, nonprofits and repeat contractors can ask for volume pricing on the call.
Do I have to pay now to reserve it?
A card is taken at booking so the unit is held and routed. Business accounts can ask about invoicing after the first order.
Can I pay cash or a check when the driver arrives?
Drivers do not collect payment. Pay by credit or debit card when you book, or ask about invoicing for a business account.
Do you take Discover and American Express?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards are accepted.
We're tax exempt. Can you remove the tax?
Send your Missouri sales tax exemption letter and the tax comes off the invoice.
Units and features
What's the difference between standard and deluxe?
A standard unit has a seat, urinal and sanitizer. A deluxe unit adds a foot-pump flush, a sink and more room.
Do they have a place to wash hands?
Standard units have hand sanitizer. Deluxe units have a sink inside. Separate two-sink stations can be added to any order.
What's an ADA unit?
It is the wheelchair-accessible unit: 62 by 62 inches with a ground-level floor, grab bars and a 32-inch door.
Does it come with toilet paper, or do I bring it?
Every unit arrives with 2 to 3 rolls of toilet paper and full sanitizer. For big parties, keep a few extra rolls handy.
Does it lock?
Units have an inside latch and an outside hasp for your own padlock, free of charge.
How tall is it? We have low tree limbs.
Standard, deluxe and accessible units are 91 inches tall. The delivery path needs about 8 feet of clearance.
Do I need water or electricity?
Porta potties and hand-wash stations need neither. Only restroom trailers need a 110-volt outlet and a hose.
Do you have restroom trailers?
Two-station restroom trailers with porcelain toilets, sinks and lights are available for weddings and VIP events.
Cleaning and servicing
How often do you clean it?
28-day rentals are cleaned once a week. Event rentals of up to 5 days come clean and normally need no visit.
What happens at a service visit?
The tank is pumped, the seat, walls, floor and urinal are scrubbed, deodorizer is added, and paper and sanitizer are restocked.
Can I get it cleaned more often?
Extra visits start at $45 each. Busy crews and multi-day events often add a second weekly service.
It's just one person using it. Does it still need weekly cleaning?
Weekly service is included in the 28-day price and keeps odor down, so there is no saving in skipping it.
Does it need to be unlocked on service day?
Leave it unlocked on the service day or put the lock code in your order notes.
Where does the waste go?
Waste is pumped into the service truck and taken to a permitted treatment facility. Nothing is dumped on your property.
Placement and access
Where should I put it?
On level ground within about 15 feet of where a pickup truck can stop, away from doors, wells and food tables.
Will it fit through a side gate?
A standard unit needs a 48-inch opening. An accessible unit needs 64 inches.
Can it go on grass or does it need concrete?
Grass, gravel, dirt and pavement all work if level. On soft or wet ground, use a sheet of plywood under the skids.
Our yard slopes. Is that a problem?
A gentle slope is fine. Steep lake lots or hillsides may need a flat pad or a spot at the top of the driveway.
Can it sit in the street in front of my house?
Street or sidewalk placement in Jefferson City needs city approval first. See the permit guide.
What size truck delivers it?
Most units come on a pickup truck or a small trailer. Drivers roll units into place with a dolly.
Rental length, changes and pickup
Can I extend if the job runs long?
28-day rentals renew automatically. Event rentals can be extended by calling before the pickup date.
Do I have to call for pickup?
Monthly rentals stay until you call or text to end them. Event rentals are picked up automatically.
Do I pay a penalty for ending early?
There is no penalty for ending a 28-day rental early. The current cycle is not prorated.
How do I cancel?
Cancel at least 24 hours before delivery for a full refund. See rental terms.
Will you email me a receipt and invoice?
Every order gets a text and email confirmation with an itemized invoice and receipt. Check spam if it doesn't arrive.
Can you send a W-9 or certificate of insurance?
Both are available for businesses, schools and agencies on request.
